My 7 year old granddaughter has periods of severe body odor. It does not seem to be associated with physical activity. She is active, athletic, appears healthy, is clean, but there are some periods when she is very offensive to be near. Her sister teases her and I am concerned that this will become a greater problem as she matures. Is there something we should be watching or tests the doctor should be perfoming? Check Out the Answer

My 61/2 year old daughter has developed significant under arm body odour since this past summer. To date she and her classmates are unaware of it but it is noticable to us. Is this premature? any suggestions on which profession i should speak to about my 4yr old boy who has an odour exhuming from the tops of his arms and from his nasal passage and mouth. his tongue shows no discoloration, his glands, throat, ears,eyes are all fine so is urine & stools. he has been checked by our G.P. and also our paeditrician both have no answers as to cause or suggestion on treatment. He is now in his 12th day. I am treating him with 2xcapsules of Golden Seal and small dosage of Acidopholus Complex to try & retard smell.is working to a small effect. His health is elsewise absolutely fine. No change in diet, we have 6 in the family & he eats the same as everyone else and drinks regulary. I do hope you can give me some guidance on this as he is due to return to Kindy very soon & I would hate to see him take a dislike from school because of this smell. To envisage what the smell is like remember the smell of rotten flesh from wet spot (inside elbow crease perhaps) when a plaster cast is taken off, or perhaps when your dog has found a dead carcass and rolled in it.
