Question
at what age can we use ciprofloxacilline in treat typhoid fever and what is the dose
Answer
Fluoroquinolones are not licensed for use in children, but are sometimes required to treat serious infections. Infact there have been several reports of successful treatment of enteric fever with ciprofloxacin. It is now recommended to treat enteric fever with ciprofloxacin in children who are resistant to ceftriaxone.
